‘SUMMER’ Single Press Release

After a huge year of playing at Inca Roads Festival, supporting the likes of Tully on Tully and Neighbourhood Youth and headlining a slew of shows, Melbourne indie seven piece Farrow are launching their second single ‘Summer’ at The Grace Darling on Wednesday April 30. Mounting to a bittersweet surge of horns, galvanic guitars and a wash of cymbals, the sophomore single is a bold leap from their debut, with ‘Summer’ showing a more refined and distinctly mature sound.

Farrow was developed through a series of jams during the quieter months of winter of 2012. When it was too cold to go out, they spent late nights in an inner-city apartment recording jams with headphones so as not to disturb the neighbours. They draw influences from diverse artists such as Bon Iver, Arcade Fire and Passion Pit. The seven members play music that is both intimate and epic, and brings together guitars, synths and brass to create a unique blend of folk, electronic and rock.

‘Summer’ is the second single to surface from Melbourne indie rock band, Farrow. They are launching it at The Grace Darling on Wednesday, the 30th of April, alongside Beloved Elk and Rob Muinos. This 7-piece indie rock band has evolved dramatically since it’s launch in late 2012, with Summer showcasing a more refined and mature sound than their earlier releases. Farrow is made up of members of Melbourne acts Eagle and the Worm, The Davidson Brothers, and LANKS.
